Kostenloses Retro-Game SUPER CRATE BOX

Super Crate Box from Vlambeer on Vimeo.

Schade eigentlich.

Utrecht, October 22nd - Dutch students-gone-indie studio Vlambeer has just released its freeware PC title “Super Crate Box”, now available for download at  www.supercratebox.com.
The relentless arcade title has received unanimous praise for its minimalistic but efficient gameplay, reminding many of the golden age of arcade games, when all that mattered was getting on that highscore list. Minecraft creator Markus Persson called the game “simple but brilliant” and popular PC-gaming blog Rock, Paper, Shotgun said “Super Crate Box is like condensed milk, only with fun instead of milk”.
Vlambeer is also hosting a in-game contest - the highest score on the ‘SFMT Official’ difficulty on the Construction Yard level by November 14th will win a surprising wealth of Super Crate Box merchandise in a super-limited collectors edition of the game. Only three of such collectors editions will ever be created, the first available through the already launched Papercraft contest.

Duke Nukem: Next-Gen (DNNG), is the codename (Not final title), for at new Re-vision of Duke Nukem 3D. Duke Nukem 3D, if the game was made today. DNNG uses Unreal Engine 3 technology to achieve the graphics expected for a next-gen title.
The final game will include both a 3 Episode Singleplayer campaign, and a full fledged Multiplayer Component, and will be released free to everyone – NO other games required. […]
I contacted George Brussard and Scott Miller, to start a conversation about the project – The shots managed to convice Scott Miller to a certain degree – But the project was only doable if Take-Two would approve it.
Thinking that Gearbox might have a better relationship to Take-Two, than 3Drealms, i contacted AdamF, who passed me through to PJ Putnam, Vice President and General Counsel of Gearbox Software.
Luckily Gearbox was interested in supporting the project, which resulted in a personal non-commercial license to Duke Nukem.
